About the event
Lunchtime concert by Musicke in the Ayre featuring works by Byrd arranged for one and two voices and lute, also including a lute song by Thomas Morley. Several of Byrd's songs use texts by Sir Philip Sidney, especially from his Astrophil and Stella; a setting by Henry Lawes of one of these is also included.
